Free to medicate naturally
According to a recent statewide poll conducted by St Cloud State University, 76% of Minnesotans want to legalize medicinal marijuana. Despite the sweeping public support, Minnesota recently passed what has been called the “most needlessly strict” marijuana legalization law in the country.
Consequently, many who hoped their treatment or their child’s treatment would finally become legal and accessible are left waiting.
Marijuana is still listed as the same class of drug as heroin, LSD, and ecstasy. Relatively speaking, cannabis is hardly what one would consider dangerous. Death due to cannabis is rare, it doesn’t make users violent and has a plethora of medicinal properties. On the other hand, according to the CDC, 1 person dies unintentionally every 19 minutes of a legally prescribed drug in the US.
We’re long past due for common sense on this issue.
